Cooper Thompson is the owner of Pelican Street Ventures and co-founder of The Fieldhouse. He has spent his career building and scaling financial products used by millions in some of the highest-stakes moments of daily life. While not a cybersecurity practitioner, he brings a product-centric perspective shaped by years of studying user behavior, engagement patterns, and decision-making in embedded finance and digital assets. His work focuses on making financial interactions simpler, faster, and more seamlessly embedded into everyday experiences, which gives him a clear view of the fine line between convenience and compulsion, and how products optimized for frictionless engagement can unintentionally shape risky user behavior.
